Murujuga Rock Art & Cultural Experience

Meet at the Deep Gorge in the Murujuga National Park car park at 9.00am to join the Traditional Custodians on a 1.5 hour rock art and cultural experience

This 90 minute tours will provide an insight into an ancient culture and greatly enhance your Murujuga National Park Experience.

With the World Heritage nomination process underway, this site is not just of national but international significance.

The guidance and knowledge of the Custodians will ensure that you really appreciate the Deep Gorge Petroglyphs and understand their connection to culture.

Description

The Traditional Owner groups of the Burrup Peninsula and surrounding areas are pleased to showcase their culture and extensive Rock Art petroglyphs. Traditional custodian guides will give you the opportunity to experience not just the ancient Rock carvings but also their stories and explain how they lived in harmony with the land through their bush tucker and medicine interpretation.

Please meet your tour guide at Deep Gorge in the Murujuga National Park, Hearons Cove Road, Burrup Peninsula. Use the map below and follow the signs to Murujuga National Park which is a 30 minute drive from Karratha.


Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made 48 hours before tour commences to be eligible for a refund. If we cancel a tour you may choose between us applying the amounts paid toward an alternative date or receiving a full refund.
